For those of us who came in late I don’t usually link to stuff in my own comment sections, but Doc Searls has just posted a remarkably concise summary of being what’s done to Internet radio, and why it’s a travesty. Despite what you may have heard, this isn’t just a bunch of Information Wants To Be Free idealists complaining that The Man is making them pay like everyone else does. To the contrary, the financial burden that the Librarian of Congress is imposing on Internet radio is far greater than that imposed on broadcast radio.

Searls explains all of this very clearly, down in the comment section for this post from August 1. Take a look, even if you usually give comment sections a miss. [09:56 PM]
