Mr. Zakaria has nailed it. I gave up on Newsweek years ago. Maybe I should start reading it again. Or is this an exceptional case?

It was a good piece. Humbling and informative. Meanwhile, I think Michael Barone offers a good countercase (at least in terms of building to the Iraq war).

Hmm. I think Barone’s article is a great example of exactly the kind of rhetoric that he claims didn’t get us into this mess.
