  1. 1.  William Addis was born in in of Frampton-on-Severn, Gloucestershire, England; died after Feb 1662 in New London, New London, Connecticut.


    He was a brewer and a merchant. "William Addis came to Massachusetts in 1640 with the Welsh party led by the Rev. Richard Blinman, a party comprised of Welshmen and persons from Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire, and settled in Gloucester, where he became a townsman in 1642 and later a selectman.     He may have been a son of Thomas and Ann Addis of Frampton-on-Severne. At any rate, we know that his daughter Millicent was baptized there.

    William married Millicent Wood before 1623. Millicent (daughter of William Wood and Millicent Flower) was born about 1595 in Harescombe, Gloucestershire, England; died between 29 Aug 1635 and and 7 Sep 1650. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
