  • Notes
    • Also called Guido de la Spine and several other variants. Knight of the shire for Warwickshire, Feb 1388, Sep 1388, Jan 1390, Nov 1390, 1391. Escheator, Warwickshire and Leicestershire, 4 Mar 1398 - 29 Oct 1399.

He is referred to by Ancestral Roots (43:34) (and several other sources) as "Sir Guy Spinney," referencing the Throckmorton chart in NEHGR 98 between pages 114 and 115 where he is "Sir Guy Spiney of Coughton, co. Warw". But his History of Parliament entry gives no evidence that he was ever knighted, or likely to be.
