  • Notes
    • From http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=1715836&id=I00667, about Willis Worley and the cemetery he's buried in:

"The cemetery is located within the sound of the roaring falls of the Cumberland River. Pioneer, Willis Worley, rests here under a rock canopy covered grave. His wife was Jane Prewitt. Jane had planned to buried here next to her husband, however, when she she died 6 years after him, the river was in flood stage and could not be crossed so she was buried at the Prewitt-Bryant Cemetery in Whitley County. This section was located in Whitley County in Willis Worley's time. He was a Whitley County Justice of the Peace for the district west of the river. He operated the boarding house at Cumberland Falls, before the Renfros came to the area, and performed marriage ceremonies for the people who came to the boarding hours."
