  He entered Magdalen College at Cambridge in 1574; B.A., 1575. Rector at St. Olave, Silver Street in 1589 or 1590; soon after, rector at St. Benet's Gracechurch, 8 Dec 1592, where he remained for over forty years. Also in 1592, he received an Master of Arts degree.
