Notes - Richardson makes this John de Camoys a son of Ralph de Camoys and Asceline de Torpel, but we find that a bit of a chronological stretch. F. N. Craig (citation details below) says he was a brother of Ela de Camoys who married Piers Goushill. This seems more plausible.
