We hear that some time in the beginning of July, Captain Atherton Hough, master of a whaling vessel being in the Streights, killed a large whale and brought her to the vessel's side as usual to cut her up; and as the hands were hoisting the blubber into the hold, the runner of the block gave way, and fell with great force, on the head of a man, who stood underneath--Benjamin Hamblin, of Eastham--and instantly killed him.
