• Notes

  Confusingly and quite certainly wrongly, Ronald A. Hill (citation details below) gives John Bacon and Abiel Curtiss a daughter Susanna born 2 Oct 1692, but the Susanna Bacon/Beacon he has marrying Ephraim Allen on 28 Nov 1716 is one that was born 3 Jan 1673 as a daughter of John Bacon/Beacon and Suzanna Draper, and thus a brother, not a daughter, of the John Beacon/Bacon who married Abiel Curtiss. But Northborough vital records clearly say that Susanna Allen, wife of Ephraim, died 25 Jan 1762 in her 64th year. In other words, Ephraim's wife was a the daughter of John and Abiel born in 1695, not the daughter of John and Suzanna born in 1673.
