• Notes

  Possibly the Ann Neave baptised at Hingham, Norfolk on 16 Jun 1611, daughter of Thomas Neave. Edward J. Harrison's "Ann Neave, Wife of Stephen Gates, 1638 Immigrant to Massachusetts" (NEHGR 163:134, 2009) establishes that her maiden name was Neave, not "Veare" as previously misread from the Hingham records.
