  • Notes
    • Also called Theobald, Teobaldo, etc. Called "the Troubadour", "the Chansonnier", and "the Posthumous", the latter because his father died before he was born. He was count of Champagne (as Thibaut IV) from birth, and king of Navarre from 1234.

He was an initiator of the Baron's Crusade, from which he is said to have brought back to France the rose called rosa gallica "officinalis", and the Chardonnay grape.
