  US Civil War, Confederate. Enlisted 29 Nov 1861 at Paris, Tennesse. Company E, 46th Tennessee Infantry. Captured at Island No. 10 on 8 Apr 1862, sent to Camp Douglas, Illinois. He took the oath to the U.S. while in prison, and was discharged 30 August 1862.
