We derive her middle name Marcella from the recorded presence of a "Charlotte Marcella Story" as a sponsor or witness at the 13 Jun 1879 adult baptism of her husband Arthur Nicholas Story at Christ Church, Hartford, Connecticut.
The 1860 state census of Connecticut lists a Marcella Caroll, age 3, born in Connecticut, living with presumed parents Thomas and Marcella Caroll, both age 34, both born in Ireland. They also have a son Thomas, age 13, born in Ireland.
