• Notes

  He was a fisherman. The 1881 census shows him and his wife living in Birchtown and Gunning Cove, Nova Scotia. He is said to have died before 1901. John James Acker and his wife Rachel Rowland Acker were double first cousins, both being grandchildren of John B. Acker and Ester Crank, and also of William and Rachel Rowland.
