Notes - He was, in fact, a tailor. He first appears in Yarmouth records on a list of those between 16 and 60 years old who are able to bear arms. He served as constable of Yarmouth in 1668. It is probable that he was of an advanced age when he died, and that he was hastened to his death by the shock of his wife's accidental demise just days earlier.
