Notes - Said to have been born in Delaware, 1742, and died 31 Aug 1813 in Gunning Cove, Shelburne, Nova Scotia. The database "Nova Scotia, Canada, Census, Assessment and Poll Tax Records, 1770-1795, 1827" on familysearch.org definitely does show him living in Gunning Cove in 1786. And the ancestry.com database "Nova Scotia, Canada, Land Petitions, 1765-1800" shows that he "surveyed 6700 acres on the west side of Port Roseway Harbour, bounded by lands of Willoughby Morgan."
A 1758 probate record exists for a William Rowland in Sussex County, Delaware, perhaps this William's father.
