• Notes

  Emigrated in 1634 on the Francis. First at Roxbury, then at Boston in 1637, where he was disarmed as a consequence of his support for Hutchinson and Wheelwright. In Portsmouth from 1638 on. Held a variety of public offices in Portsmouth. A signer of the Portsmouth Compact. He was a sawyer.
