• Notes

  Emigrated to New England about 1635. He was a wealthy merchant, styled "Mr." in New England. He went back to England in 1644, where he was arrested on arrival for his part in a lawsuit against the brother of Alderman Berkley. His brother Thomas, and also Henry Vane, interceded for him and he was released. He returned to New England shortly thereafter.
