  "Robert Wade [...] is claimed as father of Rebecca in Ralph Dornfield Owen's Descendants of John Owen of Windsor, Connecticut (1622-1690) (Philadelphia 1941), p. 19, but without documentation. The present writer has done no research on this problem, but since John Owen and wife apparently did not share in the settlement of Robert Wade's estate, as Mr. Jacobus points out, it would be well to be cautious."
