  She is recorded as "Ruth Reed" in the Taunton record of her marriage to Joseph Tisdale. The widespread idea that she was a daughter of John Reed and Bethiah Frye is, not entirely unreasonably, based on the fact that John and Bethiah's son Thomas Reed married Joseph Tisdale's sister Sarah.
