Notes - Seneschal, governor, and receiver of the castle and honor of Halton in Cheshire.
In about 1352 he was indicted, with others, for an invasion the manor of Geaumes near Reading, held by Edward III's son Lionel, in which incident Michael Poynings and Thomas le Clerke were killed, and Margary, wife of Nicolas de la Beche, was raped. For this involvement he was pardoned by the king.
Sheriff of Cheshire 1356 and 1359. Knighted in 1361.
