  • Notes
    • Arrived in 1635 on the Marygould as part of the "Hull Colony" emigration led by the Rev. Joseph Hull. One of the first settlers of Weymouth. Made freeman 18 May 1653.

Several sources, including Bassett-Preston Ancestors (citation details below) and Josephine C. Frost's Ancestors of Henry Rogers Winthrop and Alice Woodward Babcock (1927) give him a wife named Ruth, but as Donald Lines Jacobus points out (The Granberry Family, citation details below), no proof of this has been seen. Robert Charles Anderson's Great Migration entry for Richard Porter gives no name for his wife.
