• Notes

  He was the churchwarden of Queen Anne's Church, Prince George's County, as of 1 Feb 1711. He is said to have become a Quaker, but if so, that must have been after age 67. From Maryland Calendar of Wills (citation details below), v. 3, p. 234: 3 Aug 1712, will of Guy White of Prince Georges Co. (Probated 15 Dec 1712.) Sons: Guy, Samuel, and Benjamin Cool Spring Manor and personalty equally at age 16. Son Francis part of Swanton’s Lot on north branch Patuxtent (bought from Francis Swanton). Daughters Sarah & Eliza personalty at age 16. Wife Eliza (executrix) residue including dwelling house. If she dies during minority of children Robert Tyler and William Richardson (of Anne Arundel Co.) Appointed guardians of children, Witnesses: John Evans, Samuel Griffith Jr., Thomas Evans.
