  He was the last Langley at Agecroft Hall. In the 1920s, the hall, by then decrepit, was purchased by Thomas C. Williams, Jr., of Richmond, Virginia, dismantled, crated, transported across the Atlantic, and reassembled on his 23-acre estate overseeing the James River.
