  According to Frederick C. Hart (citation details below), Stamford vital records call her "Rachel Weed alias Buxton." "James Weed had married Rachel Buxton on 8 Jun 1749, but had died sometime prior to 1767. On 13 Jan 1773, his son Solomon Weed made choice of Moses Knapp to be his guardian (Stamford Probate Records, 4: 40, Mead Abstracts used). This probably indicates that Solomon had reached the age of 14 years in 1773, about 6 years after her mother's remarriage, and had therefore been born about 1759."
