• Notes

  He appears on a 1796 poll list as a Federalist voter in that year's Presidential election. Roy H. Wampler (citation details below) notes that he made his will on 10 Dec 1822 and died two days later, leaving a wife and nine children, and that within two months of his death, fully five of his children followed him to the grave, at ages ranging from 16 to 33.
