  Her headstone spells her first name "Noemi," and gives her date of death as 10 Apr 1876, not 11 Apr as would be implied by the newspaper story below. "Mrs. N. J. Gage, the widow of Moses Gage, the former Station Agent of the Northwestern Railway at Clinton, committed suicide by shooting herself through the head with a revolver, at 10 o'clock Tuesday night. Temporary insanity is the supposed cause. She leaves two daughters, one married. She was a very estimable lady, and there is considerable excitement."
