  She last appears in the 1850 census; in the 1860 census, Zachariah Britt and his children are living with a 40-year-old woman named Elizabeth. This is presumably the Elizabeth Freeman whom Zachariah Britt married in Moore County on 25 Jul 1857. Proof that Nancy Freeman was a daughter of William Freeman and Elizabeth Marshall (who really existed, whether or not she was their daughter) is unknown to us, but given PNH's interest in discovering more Freeman family history, we're leaving them as her parents in the hope that this will attract more information.
