  "Fought in Wales, 1257. In a Somersetshire plea of 1280, he was named as the grandfather of Hugh de Valletort." [The Ancestry of Dorothea Poyntz, citation details below] Said by The Ancestry of Dorothea Poyntz to have married Egeline de Courtnay, daughter of Robert Courtenay and Mary de Vernon, but Gary Boyd Robert reports (in The Royal Descents of 900 Immigrants, Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Company, 2018, p. 675) that Douglas Richardson says this has been disproved.
