Notes - He was a yeoman. Sometime after 1735 he removed from Rhode Island to Stonington, New London County, Connecticut, where he remained until at least 1750. In that year, on the death of his father, he returned to his inheritance in Exeter, Rhode Island. In 1760 he appears in the tax list for Beekman's Precinct in Dutchess County, New York. While still there, in 1763 he bought a farm in Jericho Plantations (renamed Hancock in 1778) in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, which is where he was living when he made his will on 10 May 1779.
