• Notes

  After William Ewing's death she married Christopher Dormire and moved to Preble County, Ohio. Following the death of her second husband she applied for a pension based on William Ewing's service in the Revolution, but was unable to substantiate it. Her application says that he was a "Sargent of Infantry" (he was actually a lieutenant) in a Virginia regiment who enlisted in October/November of 1780 and served for over eighteen months.
