Notes - According to Brinkerhoff's History of Marion County, Illinois (citation details below), he was a farmer all his life, and came to Grundy County, Illinois from New York in 1859. He later removed to Dennison, Iowa, and then to Odell, Illinois just year before his death in Illinois. His first wife, Tryphena Hudson, predeceased him in New York, and his second wife was Kate Douglas, also of New York.
