  "[A]n unknown man named Ford arrived with his wife and children on the Fortune which reached Plymouth or at least the Cape, on 9 Nov. 1621, according to Governor Bradford. The father died between 11 Dec. 1621 (date of Winslow's letter) and March 1623 (date of the land allotment) when the wife is first called 'Widow Ford.'"
