Notes - In volume 6 of The Great Migration: Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, starting at page 125, Robert Charles Wilson lays out a convincing argument that this George Russell, father of Mary and other children, was not the George Russell who emigrated to New England in 1635 on the Elizabeth, with a certificate of conformity from Hawkhurst, Kent.
Anderson's reconstruction of the life of this George Russell has him arriving in 1636, first at Hingham, then Plymouth 1637-38, then Hingham 1639-43, then Scituate 1643-53, then Marshfield 1654-61, then Scituate 1663-84, then Hingham 1687-94.
