    • He moved with his family from Pomfret, New York to Kirtland, Ohio in 1833. He was baptized into the Mormon church in 1835. In Nauvoo he was a member of the Council of Fifty. He and his family arrived at Salt Lake on 22 Oct 1848.

      He served a mission to the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii) in 1853-55.
