  Descendants of Roger Williams, Book IV calls her Sarah Taylor, but we find no evidence for this as her birth surname. She is not the Sarah Taylor born 19 Dec 1671 at Marlborough to James Taylor and Sarah Newton, the latter a daughter of Richard Newton of Sudbury and Marlborough; that Sarah Taylor appears to have died 29 Nov 1698 at Marlborough unmarried.
