Notes - He was ordained as deacon of Mumby on 9 Sep 1574, appointed vicar of Mumby on 3 Mar 1575, ordained as priest there on 7 Jun 1575, and appointed preacher there 30 Jul 1577. In his will he identified himself as the "Clarke", i.e. parish clerk, of Mumby.
He signed each year's extant bishop's transcript for Mumby from 1575/6 through 1613. Among the churchwardens who signed alongside him on one or more occasions were John Wheelwright (d. 1611) and his son Robert Wheelwright (d. 1622), respectively an uncle and a cousin of the Rev. John Wheelwright who was closely associated with a number of Great Migration emigrants, including TNH ancestor William Wentworth and the family of Ann Marbury Hutchinson.
