• Notes

  Possibly Abigail Smith or Slocum, according to Frank J. Doherty (citation details below). After the death of Ebenezer Allen she married, in 1728, John Whitely of Dartmouth, Massachusetts; the wedding included four Smith witnesses. She was definitely not the Abigail Hill who was a daughter of Zebulon Hill of Gloucester. That Abigail married Joseph Allen of Salem (d. 1740).
