Notes - Count of Tours; Count of Sens; also, as Hugh II, Duke of Locate (near Milan).
Also called Hugh of Tours; Hugues "le Mefiant"; "Timidus" or Hugh the Timid.
He was probably a descendant of Adalric or Eticho (Hettich), duke of Alsace, fl. 673-683, but we have no solid knowledge of his immediate parentage. The Henry Project has a summary of the theories and likelihoods.
- Count of Tours; Count of Sens; also, as Hugh II, Duke of Locate (near Milan).
