• Notes

  Simon Stone Genealogy says merely that she outlived her husband, who died 27 Feb 1783, while John Dennis Farwell's The Farwell Family (1929) gives no death date for her at all. But the headstone in the Groton Old Burying Ground for "Mary Stone relict of Dea. James Stone", seen on Find A Grave, clearly says "March" and "1804". I can't make out the day of the month from the photograph.
