• Notes

  The 1735 burial record identifies him as "the elder," which makes us suspect it pertains to the Christopher ("Xtopher") Hodge identified elsewhere as the father of Paschoe Hodge. He may have been the Christopher Hodge who married Jane Kent on 20 Nov 1690 in Padstow, although that was barely a month before the baptism of his son Paschoe Hodge, and Padstow is over 25 miles from St. Ives.
