  • Notes
    • She was previously married to William Stevens at Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. Her MWikitree page says "The entry for William Stevens' marriage to Elizabeth in Vital Records of Newbury, Massachusetts to 1849 indicates that both her maiden name and the year of their marriage were unreadable in the original records, but notes that a later town copy of those records says that they were married 19 March 1645[/6?]. However, since, based on her baptism in March 1628/9, Elizabeth would have only been 17 at the time and since William and ElizĂ„beth's first known child (Bitfield Stevens) was not born until March 1648/9, it is reasonably likely the 1645 date was a transcription error and that they were actually married perhaps on 19 March 1647/8." William Stevens died in 1653.
