  • Notes
    • Two respectable authorities differ on the details of his emigration and early locations. The Ancestry of Rev. Nathan Grier Parke, by N. Grier Parke II and edited by Donald Lines Jacobus, says he emigrated before 1635 and was first at Watertown, then by autumn 1635 was at Pyquag in the Connecticut valley, where he was among the first settlers of Wethersfield. But Robert Charles Anderson in The Great Migration Directory has him emigrating directly to Wethersfield in 1636. Both agree, however, that subsequently he was at Stamford, and then (Parke and Jacobus say in 1644) one of the fifty original proprietors of Hempstead.

Magistrate at Stamford, exact dates unknown. Magistrate at Hempstead, 1647 to 1664.
