Notes - Second of his name, not to be confused with his father's son Thomas Hull (d. 1612) by his first (name unknown) wife. He was a prosperous yeoman. "'The Certificate of Musters' for Crewkerne, in 1569, mentioned Thomas Hull, pikeman and Raynold Hull, billman, as part of the local military, with Raynald responsible, with others, to provide arms in connection with a feared invasion by Spain." [Ancestral Lines, citation details below] Raynald Hull was another son of Thomas's father by his first wife.
