  Amazingly enough, she was a descendant of Edward III (by two of his sons, John of Gaunt and Thomas of Woodstock), and also of Kittamaquund, Tapac of the Piscataway, all via descent from gateway ancestor Giles Brent. On a separate line, she was also a descendant of Edward I via gateway ancestor Margaret Domville and Margaret's first husband Richard Hatton — assuming (as seems very likely) that Barbara Hagen's great-great grandmother Rebecca who married (first) John Lowe and (second) Barbara Hagen's great-great grandfather Thomas Mudd was in fact Rebecca Hatton, a daughter of William Hatton and a granddaughter of Margaret Domville.
