  Also called Sonnes, Soames. Conceivably the Patiance Somes who was born 25 Nov 1697 in Gloucester, Massachusetts to Timothy and Hannah Somes, as claimed on Wikitree. This Hannah was probably married previously to a man surnamed Despar, as Timothy Somes's will bequeaths to "daughter-in-law Sarah Despar." But by the standards of the time Gloucester is a long way from Pembroke, where our Patience married Elisha Bisbee, and where Elisha's parents spent the latter part of their lives.
