Notes - Sharon J. Doliante (citation details below) says that he married, first, Henrietta Hilton, then Mary Carlin, then Mary Rapier. Sister Mary Louise Donnelly (citation details below) is not frequently more right than Doliante, but in this case she appears to be correct: Mary Carlin was the wife of Stanislaus' next-younger brother Robert. She predeceased Robert, and when he made his will, he named his older brother Stanislaus his executor and the caretaker of his children. Mary Rapier was the wife of Basil Hayden, Jr., the third son of Basil Hayden and Henrietta Cole. Basil Jr. died in 1833 and his wife died in 1838. This leaves a narrow window in which Mary Rapier could have married Stanislaus (leaving aside that this would be wildly unlikely behavior in such a Catholic family), but no actual evidence suggests that this was the case. In fact Stanislaus Hayden married, first, Henrietta Hilton, the mother of his children; and second, on 14 Jan 1834, Susanna Overstreet Walker, who survived him and inherited a third of his estate.
"STANISLAUS HAYDEN was to be court martialed in Springfield, Kentucky on 8/2/1794 as a militia delinquent. BASIL HAYDEN, SR., BASIL HAYDEN, JR. and A. Brown spoke on his behalf. BASIL HAYDEN, SR. said 'his son from his infancy has been deficient in his hearing,'…and should be exempted. The other witnesses gave the same declaration. After mature deliberations the court was of the opinion he should be fined thirty seven shillings and six pence. On 6/16/1798 STANISLAUS HAYDEN appeared and requested to have his name cleared, 'whereupon the Court ordered that he be cleared.'" [John Medley (1615-1660), citation details below]
