    • Came in 1635 with his wife and family on the Increase. Described variously as a husbandman, yeoman, and wheelwright. He was a "sydeman" of the parish of Great Bentley in 1621, overseer in 1627, and senior warden in 1628.

      He and his family were among the earliest settlers of Hartford, arriving there in November 1635.
