  • Notes
    • Emigrated 1631. "William Learned and wife Goodith his wife" were admitted to the Charlestown church 6 Dec 1632.

Charlestown selectman, 1636. "Even though he was among the first members of the Charlestown church, William Learned was probably a rather liberal Puritan. Although he had been an early supporter of John Wheelwright, William Learned was quick to 'acknowledge his fault' and ask that his name be removed from the 1638 petition supporting the Antinomians. William found it more practical to look to the west than to follow Wheelwright or Ann Hutchinson into the wilderness. Bythe winter of 1640, he was a subscriber to the new town charter for Woburn and on 14 August 1642/3 he became one of the first seven members of the church there." [The Ancestry of Eva Belle Kempton 1878-1908, Part IV, citation details below.] Among the first Woburn selectmen, 13 Apr 1644; elected constable for 1644 and 1645.
