    • Or Coope. Sheriff of Northamptonshire 1545-6. Knight of the shire for Northamptonshire, 1547. Knighted May 1549 or Mar 1550 (accounts differ). In 1538 he purchased Canons Ashby from Sir Francis Bryan and became a grazier and wool producer. His History of Parliament entry is here.
